Tis the Season to be Jolly, tra la la la la..la la la LLAAAAAAAAA!

The K’outure ladies have worked so hard this year and can’t wait to spend time at home over the festive period. We have a very traditional Christmas in K Castle which involves a lot of family time, cosy nights by the fire, exploring up the Cairngorms for a spot of Skiing followed by warm cups of tea, carol singing, cold wintry walks and of course eating, eating and more eating! We cannot wait!

It is now the 10th of December and the advent candle is almost half burnt down, the Christmas tree is up and the wrapping paper is out! I almost love the run up to Christmas more than Christmas itself. People generally seem to be in a better mood, streets and houses are covered in lights which glow warm in the wintry air, and rooms are filled with Christmas tunes which we all sing along to without even meaning to. Slade being one of my personal favourites –  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG4BPNvayWo !

There are so many things that we do every year to mark the run up to Christmas and I want to share a couple of them with you. Throughout our childhood we collected so many Christmas films that we practically have one for every night of Advent! Some being ” Santa Claus the Movie,” “Moles first Christmas,” “The Tooth Fairy Mice,” “Prancer,” and ” The Snowman,” and ofcourse ” Home Alone!” All of which I would never grow out of.

We also got given a Christmas story book every year so they are all pulled out during December and even now we read them on Christmas eve and go back to our childhood as the Mother reads them whilst nodding off by the fire. One of our favorites has to be “The Little Christmas Tree” which is a beautiful little story and get’s me quite emotional. One of the best is ” Christmas in Exeter Street” and our brothers K4 and 6 can never stop laughing at Granny Fanny’s cranberries! Another excellent story! We also recite ” The Night Before Christmas,” and ” The Twelve Days of Christmas” around the supper table!

As well as lovely books and Films one of my favorite things to watch every year is The Office Christmas Special. It is up there with The Vicar of Dibly and the annual Eastenders DRAMA! We are big fans of the Office and Christmas always brings an air of romance to the screens and the best moment was when Tim and Dawn finally Kiss! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9RcONJuPdM type this in to your search bar- its so romantic!

Christmas is always a lovely time for all of the fashion trends. We love all the chunky knitwear this year and fluffy foot wear and a personal favourite is mine is the return of the cotton onezy! When we were little girls we were given navy blue Marks and Spencers Onezys that had a little tartan collar and a teddy bear on the top left hand side. We loved them and used to feel so special. They are back with a bang this year and Marks has done it again with beautiful polkadot onezy’s in store! Match this with some cosy slipper socks and you are sorted! This also comes in blue and white and is only £16.99!

There are so many things that I love about this season and this Blog could go on and on but obviously one of the best things about Christmas is the amount of food you can get away with eating under the excuse of “celebrating.” Chocolate and Turkey!!!!!! That’s all I am going to say as It is late at night and i do NOT need to get hungry!

We hope that one day a K’outure K’osy will be a desirable gift to get at Christmas time! We would love to know what is special to you about this season so join in and post your comments and links to things that make Christmas special for you!

For Now,

Tis the Season to be Jolly, tra la la la la..la la la LLAAAAAAAAA!

Much Love, K3 for K’outure X
